Cheap days out in Bath

As a Bath resident, you're able to apply for a Discovery Card either at the One Stop Shop or at the Roman Baths Pump Rooms entrance/tickets which allows you free entries to The Assembly Rooms -Fashion Museum, Victoria Art Gallery, the Roman Bath Pump rooms where they often have various art and craft activities for children. There are other various places you can get discounts on or free entry with a Discovery card.

Play area at Royal Victoria park take a picnic or great if you have kids for a sleepover and everyone's awake early as then it's not so busy.
Walk/cycle. along the canal from Sydney Gardens with stop for drinks at the George at Bathhampton. Alice Park has a cafe and is nice and flat with a little circuit for small bikes I think. Woods on other side of road from Grenville monument are shady in the heat and have twig wigwams made by children's courses up there.
