Hi there!
My name is Katie and I am the trainer for Goodgym Lambeth. We are a running group that supports projects in the community at the same time. We run every Tuesday from central Brixton at 7pm and we do all sorts of things, like sorting 1.5tonnes of food at Vauxhall Foodbank to shifting compost at a community garden, to painting a community centre. We are usually a group of around 20-30 and we do a lot in about 30 mintues, then we run back to base!
I am looking for community groups that might need our support over the winter and I wondered if any kids playgroups or centres needed any help with sorting out toys / moving furniture or heavy items / painting / a big clean etc. We offer a simple exchange of energy and muscle and you provide the task and any tools we may need.
