Ante Natal Classes Peebles Area

Hoping someone could help, we will be moving to Peebles at the end of January and I am due to have my first baby at the end of February. We don't know anyone in Peebles and I was hoping to take some private ante natal classes in the area so I (we) could meet people and I wouldn't be stuck with a new baby in a new place knowing no one. We currently live about an hour away so we would be willing to travel down for any classes. There didn't seem to be anything I could find on the web and my midwives here in Fife know nothing about the Borders and are not willing to put me in touch with Borders NHS midwives so I could ask until we move. Any help greatly appreciated

I don't know of any private ante natal classes in Peebles. All of my friends have been to the NHS ones run by the local midwives.

Thanks, they don't do ante natal classes on the NHS in Fife so I wasn't sure about the Borders. Given they won't put me in touch with the Borders midwives I'm probably going to miss out which is frustrating. Would be nice to actually meet other mums to be before I move.

I would contact the Borders midwives yourself. If you contact the doctors surgery you should be able to leave a message for someone to call you back. They might let you book in to classes before you are actually on their books. It is worth a try.

I'm sure someone is doing the Daisy courses. But as lepub says just call the midwives here yourself, I'm sure they will let you join. (01721 720380)

Hello, I do Pregnancy Yoga classes in Peebles on Friday evenings if that would be of interest, brilliant way to meet local mums to be in the area. Also do mum and baby yoga in Peebles on a Tuesday 2-3p.m.
