Advice on the West End

Hi

Have been living abroad for 6 years and want to move back to Newcastle in 12 months time. Pretty set on the West End so looking for advice on which areas, good schools, clubs or community centers please! My son will be 3 by then so want a community feel.

I live in fenham. I really like it, multi cultural, friendly. The best streets are the ones either side of fenham hall drive from Kingsway to moorside. there is the library, swimming pool and nunsmoor park. We are Catholic so we have 2 primary schools, which are both good. I'm not sure about others in the area. Buses to town are quite regular, it's equal distance to town or metro centre.
