The Gas Fireplace in Beckenham

Hi,
Has anyone used the Gas Fireplace in Beckenham high street?
We are going for 2 gas fires and booked without a lot of research! Now looking at the reviews, they seem rather dire.
Has anyone used them or got any stories to tell please?

Yes, we used them about 3 years ago. We had a gas fire which looks like a real fire installed. They were very efficient and tidy workmen. The fireplace is for additional heating as we have central heating, but I do light it when the weather is very cold or at Christmas. It looks very effective and I've had lots of compliments on it.

It doesn't look as efficient as some on the Internet and isn't cheap so we are having second thoughts and doubts. We had a very simple one from b and q - and it heated the room really well when the radiators weren't working.
