Anyone new to Wales? :)

Hey I moved to Wales 6 months ago (without regret) and I absolutely adore this stunning country I moved to a lovely place in Newport to be with my welshy man
Things have been great kids have settled into school I found a new job things are looking good but I have to admit I'm missing friends and would love to meet other mums maybe to be bored with me at the park :) or just a coffee or some shopping I miss having close friendships I'm also new to South Wales so would be fab for some one to tell me some nice places to go an what's about

Hi!

I am moving to newport in June/ July when our house is ready!
I have a nearly 4 year old and a 6 year old.

I would love to make some friends as I know that will be something I miss when we leave Cheltenham.

Hi Sarah, I moved to just outside Newport in June last year and am moving into central Newport in 2 weeks. I'm from Bristol originally and have 2 x boys ages 3 and 5. In exact same situation - would love to meet some local Mummy friends 💗

Just jumping in to say I live in Newport and used to live in Cheltenham strangely enough. I've recently downloaded an app called Mush which seems good for local meet ups.

Hi Ya, I too am considering moving to Newport, we've actually successfully put in an offer on a property in the NP19 area. My husband works in Filton, and we were attracted to Newport due to the lower house prices and only 30 mins commute to work. However, I have no idea about the area, whether it is a good or bad area. It seems quiet, a town house in a cul de sac that overlooks the River Usk. But what I'm really hoping to get from this post is a bit of positive reassurance, that we're doing the right thing moving to Newport, Wales :) Good schools in Newport? Are there any? Obviously guess you do get what you pay for, and our budget is less than £190k so not expecting exactly sought after areas, unfortunately :(
