The Bournemouth Flying Club Bar and Cafe will reopen again, for this Bank Holiday weekend end!

Come and enjoy that fantastic views across the airfield, perfect for all those young pilots! Rumour has it, the typhoons and spitfires will be back this weekend, so any future fast jet pilot should not miss the opportunity to get rather close to one of the worlds most advanced fighters!

Our sun terrace isn't just superb for the young aviator, its perfect for their parents to! We will be serving food from early until late, a reduced menu, but attractive prices. The bar will be only serving non alcoholic beverages, the standard teas, coffees and soft drinks, unfortunately mummy can't go getting drunk sipping gin!

Our doors open at 9am Saturday morning! We will close each evening of the bank holiday at around 7pm (some of us need sleep) Unfortunately this is still a temporary arrangement so we will for now only be open this bank holiday weekend, 3 days of fun for all the family... if you like planes! Make the most of it and come down! Its cash only, we don't yet accept cards!

Can we bring a picnic ? How much is entry ? Are all the British Memorial Flight attending ....

WindInThePussyWillows · 24/08/2016 22:34

Oh I used to love coming down watching the planes with a fizzy pop with my late granddad, what a great idea for the weekend if the weather holds up!

im afraid we are a Cafe, so no picnics, kind of goes against the idea of the business, but we are very very competitively priced, its a new menu, with new lower prices!

i believe the Spitfires from the BBMF will be using Bournemouth as a base, so you should if you time it right get to see them depart and possibly arrive back.

Hopefully the weather does hold up, we didn't far so well through the air show, but it was still good fun and many many happy smiling faces made it all the more worth while!

The reason I ask , we are dairy free, no problem .
Sounds lovely, hope to see you at the weekend , Thank you

Whilst its a small menu, I'm sure there will be something for everyone on there, its more BBQ than a la carte! I didn't say before, but we are a cafe so of course its free entry, it just so happens our terrace has a superb view of the airfield.

Come and make the most of the cafe, we will be closing again Monday evening, this is all very temporary until we re open permanently in the coming months! Smile

Hi
A friend would like to track down the leaseholders of Bournemouth Flying Club Cafe as she is interested in resurrecting it next year. Any information you can give would be most appreciated.
Thanks,
Tara
