Hi i am looking for a recommendation for a private dermatologist for a skin condition.

I think its contact dermatitis but gp has prescribed an acne treatment and wont pit referral through for dermatologist. So ive no choice but try to go private and i want someone who is good.

We took our son to the Ulster Independent Clinic to see a dermatologist about his eczema. I think the guy was called Dr Edgar. He was good. Can't remember what it cost, but I think it was about £100 (that was for allergy testing). I got his details from their website and emailed his secretary in advance, and as far as I remember she was able to give us a rough idea of what it would cost. We were seen within a few days of emailing.

I ended up going to Dr McKenna in dundonald consultant rooms. Cost £100. Got an appointment next day. Needed a referral from gp which was easy enough. Just rang up and asked for it and it was ready later that day. He seemed very thorough and said he didn't want see me back again, sent me away with letter for my gp and a treatment and management plan Dr at ulster I dependant was £150.

Oh glad you got sorted Littlerolo. Dundonald would be very handy for me, could I ask how you made contact with Dr McKenna?
