We are very pleased to hear about a new English & Spanish playgroup
coming soon to the West Wickham area!
The playgroup will feature music, movement and rhyme in a multisensory environment. It will be run by sisters who are combining their bilingualism with their artistic skills!
Caroline tells us "We will be singing well-known nursery rhymes and songs in both English and Spanish, and introducing basic words and phrases in Spanish. We will use instruments and props to create a multi-sensory environment. You don't have to be able to speak Spanish to come along, although of course is it helpful, but I am sure you will get the hang of it soon enough. It has been shown that exposing Babies/Toddlers to the sound of foreign languages gives them an advantage when learning to speak languages fluently later in life."
"If you are unable to come to these sessions we will be running more from September in West Wickham and Beckenham. Days/times to be posted over the next couple of weeks but please do get in touch if you are interested. Hasta luego!"
The first season starts on 14th June and will run for five weeks. If you miss it, don't fret, because as Caroline mentions there will be another season beginning in September.
