moving to Suffolk, suggestion on area please

Hi
currently living in a rough area in Essex. I would like to move to Suffolk and give my daughter (15months)a better childhood and future. I am a single mum with dog who works from home 5 days a week. Would like to stay 1/1.5 hours from home ideally but not a must. Any suggestions on areas please? Would like good school and outdoor areas. Also some clubs and things for us to join and meet people. I will be renting. Thank you x

East suffolk has some good schools. Specifically around kesgrave, martlesham and Woodbridge. Depends really what your budget is for renting. Kesgrave has a lot of families living there a good bus service into Ipswich(by Suffolk standards!) Woodbridge is lovely but more expensive. Do you drive if so you could live more rurally some very pretty villages around the area.

All are very close to the A12 so could get to Essex within you time frame. Feel free to ask more questions.

Hi thank you so much for responding. Yes I do drive. I think I would prefer to be a little rural. I want my lg to climb trees and stuff not sit on the curb if you know what I mean. But do want her to see more then just my face. I will have a look around that area. If there's any villages you'd suggest I'd be grateful. Thank you for your time

I came on to suggest the exact same places as gardening!

If you don't mind being slightly rural, Grundisburgh is quite a good village. it has a village shop and post office and a pub plus a school with a pre-school. Not sure what clubs there are though but it is a large village and only a couple of miles from woodbridge.

Have a look at Woodbridge even though it is a market town there will be a lot more going on then in the villages plus there are plenty baby & toddler groups (if that is your sort of thing).

Waldringfield is another nice village but no shops etc so would have to get in the car to do things but it does have a primary school.

I only know West Suffolk but just wanted to wish you the best in your move, it's a beautiful county (I moved here 10 years ago from the South Coast)
