Please advise ! Moving to Midlands from Devon

DH got a job in Coventry so we need to relocate from Devon with DC age 10 and 4.
We have no idea about the surrounding villages/towns. I've read here that Leamington, Kenilworth and Warwick are good. DH can commute to work 45 min drive. What are schools like in those areas specially secondary schools. We really need to decide so we can look around for properties in that area. Ideally a family friendly place with community feel and good sports facilities for kids.

i guess youve already moved (we'd love to move from here to Devon!)
I'm from leamington and can vouch for the place over the others! Currently in a little village outside the town but its perfect

Hi crunched and rlswizard , thanks fir replying. We've finally decided not to move. The thought of moving out to bigger city was quite daunting as we're quite used to the slow paced lifestyle (I assume :D) also my DS got a place in Grammar School which was another reason to stay. However from job and career point of view here opportunities are very limited but we can't have everything . As of now sticking to that but who knows what future holds for us.
