Hi - We currently live overseas and are buying a house to move back to. We want to be out of London but commuting distance and close / walking distance from a good (or outstanding!) primary school for the little guy (he's only 6 months so we've got a while!). We have found one nice property in Ashurst Wood and one just outside East Grinstead. The commute is very long but the houses seem far nicer the further out of London we go.. Anyway, I would really appreciate thoughts (good and bad) on both Ashurst Wood and East Grinstead for a young family - how family-friendly, play groups, play grounds, activities, schools etc. Thoughts on other places in the area also very welcome.
