Frith Manor Primary School

Could anyone please give me more information on Frith Manor Primary School? Is it a good school? This is our local school and is Ofsted rated as Good but I noticed that it was rated on 5th March 2013 as Requires improvement. Is it worth applying for a better primary school instead?
What is your experience with this school?
Thank you everyone.

Hi there

I would also be interested in hearing about this school as we are local to the area. Did you send your child here?

Thanks

My daughters both go to Frith. For years it has been good or outstanding. It went into RI for a couple of years after the old headteacher left and it seems he might have been coasting for a few years. So it didn't have in place proper procedures for measuring the children's progress and Ofsted wasn't impressed.

A lot of effort went into sorting it out so that Ofsted took it back up to Good.
The school is lovely, really friendly with generally well-behaved kids. The building is quite modern with lots of outdoor space. It always gets lots of kids into the good schools.

It is a 3-form entry, which is big by primary standards.

It has a good reputation locally.
The RI was a blip, I gather an inspection was carried out within weeks of new Ofsted/ curriculum requirements being announced and the then SLT hadn't got themselves up to speed with the new regime or desseminated it down to teaching staff. That was quickly rectified.
