Hi everyone, i'm new here so trying to find my way around and hope you can help.

Me and my partner separated over 2 1/2 years ago due to domestic violence (he was convicted of ABH). Nothing has got easier since then, he has vandalized my my car 3 times and behave erratically infront of our small children so i have put a stop to contact. But he apparently is going to start contact proceedings.

I work full time so not entitled to legal aid just wondering rough costs involved obviously mine isnt straight forward in that due to the violence i will be was child officer etc to interview the children.

Also any recommendations on solicitors in belfast area

Thanks in advance xx

Hi jgemyfamilyxx

I'm so sorry you are going through this. Have you tried contacting the Citizen's Advice Bureau? The local numbers are here: www.citizensadvice.org.uk/nireland/about-us/get-advice-ni/

You could also post in the legal matters talk page: www.mumsnet.com/Talk/legal_matters

I'm sorry I don't have the advice to give personally; I hope you find the support you need.
