The London Acorn School- any opinions?

I'm thinking about the London Acorn School. Has anyone got any experience/ honest opinions, especially of primary age group?

I know that the Acorn School has an open day upcoming this month.

And there is also another thread on the school here, although of course the information isn't bang up-to-date.

Our daughter is at the London Acorn School kindergarten and we love it! The National Trust location is beautiful and the children get to spend a lot of time outdoors in all weather which is lovely. The school in Morden Hall Park has excellent transport links - underground, tram, buses! We feel the school's approach to child learning and high level of teaching is evident in our daughter's development. I would definitely recommend attending the open day next Friday, 18 March and seeing for yourself.

Hello! We have had children at the school for 2 years (primary age) and love it.
It is a very friendly, small school, where the children are pleasant and socially able. The children have a lovely childhood, spending time outside, doing lots of music, art and play. They seem to bypass a lot of the stress we see in some of their friends. Having said this, they work hard at school, but seem to want to! The teachers are great. We are very happy with the children's academic progress. We recommend the school highly.

Apologies! I didn't mean to make it sound like the previous responses weren't useful (they are, so thank you!) but I'm looking for as much information as possible, good and bad

I think The London Acorn School is quite small so the likelihood of getting loads of responses from our Mumsnetter community (many of whom won't have direct experience of the school) is not likely to be that high. That said, however, the other related thread which I directed you to in my previous post had quite a range of viewpoints from different parents to the ones who've posted on this thread.

It might also be worth posting a related query (with link back to your original post on this site) on surrounding boroughs' MN Local Talk pages (Sutton, Wandworth, Kingston and Croydon being the most likely because of the excellent transport links twixt Morden and those areas).

Hope you can make the school's open day - this Friday - which will give you the opportunity to get a feel for the school.
