NEW MUM - SOS

Hello All, I am a new first time mum (I'm 30) to a 4 month old and often feel I am completely clueless in what I am doing. I am trying to find groups/other first time mums to meet/chat too for advice and help so I don't feel so alone and so often useless. I have attended a mother and toddler group the first time last week but upon arriving found out that my little girl was far too young for that group and it also seemed quiet a few of the mums were established with friendship groups etc already so I was sat on the side ignored most my visit, not great when you already feel in need of help! Please let me know if there are others of you in the same boat as me! Advice? Group suggestions? SOS?

Hello, Thank you for replying to my message. I am in Camborne but am happy to travel to some places (within reason) where are you based? And are you in the same boat? New mum?

Hi there Zara
I don't think they are listed at the moment but do a search for Todlins. This is an amazing group, v friendly lady who runs it and while there will be kids up to toddler age it is good for babies too. I still sing the songs I learnt there a long long long time ago!

There is a good mum and baby group at the pottery preschool in chapel hill on a thursday morning, In truro and quite a few mums come in from around.

But the best thing I have heard of locally for babies is the cornish food box in truro host a baby group - specifically baies not toddlers - on a tuesday afternoon, I will try to pop back with specific details if you like but i think it is v chilled out meet about 12:30, have a drink and hang out.

Baby groups are tricky, but it can be such a good place to meet new mum friends. Try your local library, as well as toddler story times they often do coffee for mums of little ones.

And if you find anything fantastic - come back and let us know!!

Good luck, PM me if you need anything else XX
