Hi,
I just wanted to let you ladies know about a wonderful support group thats out there for ladies who have Perinatal Mental Health issues (this can be either during or after pregnancy and can include a broad range of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, stress and OCD).
Juno run 4 Peer Support groups in Edinburgh during term time, and you can get in touch with someone to meet you before you attend if you are anxious about coming along. The groups are all run by women who have first hand experience with Perintatal Mental Heath Illness.
There are two daytime groups which children are welcome to attend (there are a variety of toys at both venues) and two night time groups for adults only.
The current groups are:
Tuesday - 8-9pm - Leith (Dr Bell's Family Centre, Junction Place)
Wednesday - 10am-12pm - Longstone (Longstone Community Centre, Redhall Grove)
Thursday - 7.30-9pm - Craiglockart (SANDs Lothian, Collinton Rd)
Friday - 10.00 - 11.30 - South Edinburgh (Toots Cafe, Gilmerton Rd)
If you are looking for any more informatin please PM me or e-mail [email protected]
If your not affected by a perinatal mental health issue, but know someone who is please feel free to pass on the details to them.
thanks,
Ruth
