childcare in or around Harston

Does anyone have any recommendations for a childminder or nursery (probably prefer childminder) for our lg who'll be 10 months old, anywhere near Harston? It seems to be a childcare black hole! Me and husband will be working at Addenbrookes and Fulbourn respectively so could at a pinch use the KU nurseries there, although both keen to cycle to work (not with baby) so local childcare would be best. Any thoughts v welcome - lots of change and lots to sort out! We're moving from London so have new jobs, new house, school for 3 year old etc to get together... Also up for coffee and wine with any local mums and dads Grin

WHy don't you want to cycle with the baby to nursery? Its's very common to do so and the ride from Harston to Addenbrooke's will be mostly off road. Both of mine have been in the trailer since about 6 months - your main problem will be finding someplace to stash the trailer in the bike parks, which are rammed. Back seat carriers are also popular.

There's LIttle Hands in Newton but I'm not sure what age they take children from, and there's a few childminders in Melbourn but that's not really as conveinent for you. I'd seriously consider using the workplace nurseries, they are generally very good, and the conveinence of having on-site childcare is unbeatable. I'm not at Addies any more but do use my current campus nursery. Most campus nurseries have preschool rooms too so you'd probably be sorted for your 3 year old as well - if you can get the space!
