You may remember that in January, Stockport MSLC's 'Hot Topic' was 'perinatal mental healthcare in Stockport'. Following this meeting, Poynton Pandas (an organisation which offers support and advice for pre and postnatal depression) aimed to set up a forum to bring statutory services, voluntary organisations/charities and service users together to improve mental health support for parents.
The founding meeting of the Stockport Perinatal Mental Health Forum will take place on Wednesday 24th February 2016 at 7:30 pm, at Stepping Hill Hospital's Women's Unit, Hazel Grove, SK2 7JE (Ground Floor Education room). The first meeting will be focussing on raising the knowledge and improving the education of Midwives and Health Visitors around perinatal mental health.
