Hi All, I need help on how to rent a place. Hubby has been working here for 3years but on low income. Just moved here with 2 teens and we are cramped in a room. I'm only temporarily out of job cos of the move. we have money to rent a bigger place cos I was working before. We are not claiming any Benefit. Agency proving difficult. Cant find private rental. Went to council to ask about renting from them or housing association but I was told my hubby can claim housing benefit but he has to rent a place. If one moves in newly and is yet to start work, how can one get a place to stay before getting a job? Its frustrating and I need all the help you all have to get out of this ordeal. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
