Moving to Maidenhead - Advice please

My partner and I are currently thinking of moving to the Maidenhead area from London. My concern is that my partner is black and our Son is mixed race. I know Maidenhead is a predominantly white area but I wondered if anyone had any knowledge or experience of the ethnic mix in the area and in particular in the schools. Obviously don't want my Son to be in a school where he feels different. Any advice gratefully received.

Hi. I live in Maidenhead and although it doesn't have a high ethnic population it is a pretty mixed area with lots of black and Asian families and your son would not stand out as being different. My children have been right through primary school in Maidenhead and there's never been a class with all white kids in it, and the same at all the local clubs too. Good luck!
