Schools near Winterbourne

Hi all. DH has secured a job in Bristol and we are relocating to Winterbourne. We have been given an allowance for school fees but I am unfamiliar with the schools which are nearby- Silverhill and Colston's Lower School. Can anyone offer advice? We will be visiting the schools next month. I believe there are others in the city centre but for now we are looking at these.

My children attend Silverhill and are both thoroughly enjoying school and making great progress. Classes of approximately 20, but split into 2 for Maths, English and some other subjects. Subject specialists particularly in KS2. The staff seem to know the children well and there is good individual attention. Facilities are not amazing compared to some other independent schools, but no secondary part to it, so obviously they don't have access to the same kind of facilities some attached preps do. Great outdoor space though. Children exit to a variety of secondary schools both state and private. Often scholarships to schools such as QEH, Redmaids, Colstons, Bristol Grammar and Clifton College. No school is perfect and communication can at time be rather last minute, but overall we're very pleased and children happy.
