nursery or childminder west end?

Hi,

I am unsure about 2 things - one is should I choose a nursery or a childminder?

The second is, if a nursery which one? I live in the west end so I need something close by.

Any thoughts or recommendations would be appreciated.

I go back to work 4 days in October so I would be looking for 3 days of childcare. My husband can do 1 day for me or my parents.

Thanks

I chose a childminder as I prefer one personal care-giver in a natural home setting for a baby. Just my personal opinion. But think nurseries are fab once they are 2-3. Childminders can be a bit more flexible in terms of swapping the odd day, adding an extra day and my Childminder also takes them when they're a bit under the weather whereas I think most nurseries (understandably) won't taken them at the first sign of illness.
I used the Care Inspectorate website to find my closest ones and also to read reports on them.

I think childminders as such are pretty difficult to find in the West End. I like the Park nursery. I've also heard good things about Acorn Park.
