Are there any suggestions for a family walk and outdoorsy play near Cambridge? Within 45 minutes of Cambridge, please.

Ickworth House (grouds only) near Bury St Edmunds is good. Lots of walks, adventure playground and a 'trim trail' which is also fun.
Lots of deer to see too.

Anglesey Abbey has a fab tree house and den building etc (but the wood bit is a bit of a walk from the entrance).

Milton Country Park.

Thank you. We went to Anglesey Abbey today and loved it! Will try other suggestions, too! Plenty to explore!

Wimpole Hall has an adventure playground, but you do have to pay for the farm as well in order to be able to get to it.

Wicken Fen good for walking.

Botanic Gardens can be good too.
