Moving to Hampton - primary schools

We have just bought a property in Hampton and will be moving there shortly. I have a 4 year old who is in reception and we have been looking at schools. The closest one to us is Buckingham Primary School (we appear to be just outside the catchment for Hampton Infants and Carlisle Infant School).

  • Does anyone have children who go to Buckingham Primary? What are your thoughts about this school?
  • Has anyone moved there recently (and between school term) - how has the transition been to a new area/ school, etc...?

Any inputs would be appreciated. Thanks for your help.

hello!
I'm afraid I don't know much about Buckingham - but wanted to reply as we are also shortly moving to Hampton. I've been to the Carlisle open day and that seemed nice so we'll be aiming to get in there if we're close enough. I have a 4 year old and 19 month old. My eldest due to start school net September.

Have you moved yet? Any tips of good areas to go with kids? I'm planning of heading to Scribblers playgroup when it restarts in the new year.

Sorry for the delay in responding.

Thanks for your message. We have not moved yet. Waiting for the paperwork for the house to be finalised. Should be moving by mid Feb. What about you? Have you moved?

Yet to explore places to go out with kids etc... Will definitely let you know if we find something nice for kids.

We are also visiting the schools in the next couple of weeks (unfortunately not too many state schools in the Hampton area). My son is already in reception so it will be a in year admission for him.

Have you looked at any other primary schools besides Carlisle as well?
