Advice needed!

Hello fellow Mumsnetters!

I am a first time mum-to-be as of April 2016 and I'm hoping you kind folk can offer some advice about areas to live. My husband and I are considering Winchburgh as a potential move (we're currently in Edinburgh but the house prices are a bit out of our reach) and we want to stay west of the city as much as possible.

Does anyone here live in Winchburgh or nearby and can offer some advice on what it's like to live there?

Bit late, sorry!
I live in a town close by but I wouldn't recommend winchburgh if you're moving from Ed.
There is lots of housing going up but the infrastructure isn't there yet. I believe there's a school in the planning stages. Train station years away. Access to m9 likewise.
Much better facilities in Livingston, Broxburn/uphall, Bathgate. Or Linlithgow or south queensferry if you can afford the better postcode.
