My son will be starting secondary school in September next year. Unfortunately he didn't pass either Kent or Shepway test so have applied to our local school Brockhill park (we live in Saltwood). I just wondered if people who have kids there could advise on this school?
I did a tour recently with the head mistress and alarm bells were ringing for various reasons but mainly to do with the defensive attitude of the head towards answering a few basic questions. I'm also not too sure about the focus of the school on dance and drama. I've heard that other subjects are neglected to cater for these and the kids are forced to do a GCSE in either dance, drama or music, none of which my son has any interest in.
