Meet local junior doctors - understand why there is a debate about their contracts

Dear all

As a junior doctor I am, along with my colleagues very much affected by the current ongoing debate with the Department of Health and the Secretary of State, MP Jeremy Hunt with their planned imposition of a new contract for all junior doctors. This contract is especially discriminatory towards female junior doctors wanting to start their own families by taking a break from their training.

We are facing the might of the government's spin and media machine and as such we have collectively decided that we need to speak to the members of the public in order for us to be able to help people understand the nature of the debate and why we are so worried about the future of our NHS and the patients we serve.

We are holding our first public meeting at the Horniman Gardens in Forest Hill, South London this Saturday 7th Nov from 10am-12pm and will be available around the bandstand area. We will also be joined by the Shadow Health Secretary MP Heidi Alexander from 10am.

Please come along and ask us any questions you have about this very important issue.

Thank you for reading and sharing this with your friends and family.

Best wishes,
