Hi all, I'm a 24 year old single mom with a 20 month old daughter. Despite growing up in Brixham, I moved to Birmingham for a few years and now that I am back, I have found the majority of my friends have moved away, and the ones who have stayed here don't have children.
I'd love to make some mom friends, especially with children of similar ages to my daughter. I feel really guilty for my daughter that we don't have friends for playdates and days out. Every day it's just the two of us, and it would be lovely for her to have somebody to play with, and I would really appreciate the adult conversation!!
I have gone to soft plays and toddler groups, but I am so shy to begin with, I tend to feel as though people wouldn't want to befriend me, so I wait for people to approach me, which doesn't tend to happen :(
Just realised how miserable I sound in this! Just being honest, I'm quite lonely, and would absolutely love to make some mommy friends, for both mine and my daughter's sanity!!
