Application for primary school

Hi,

I am new here and i would like to know when i can apply for my nearly 4 years old daughter for primary school (for 2016-2017) ?

My son will also be applying this year to start next September - and I am just trying to figure it out.

I think that applications open next month (Nov) and close in January. Have a look at this: oneonline.devon.gov.uk/CCSEnterprise_Admissionsonline_LIVE/

However, I'm not an expert so I've done my best to find you some useful links that might help:

Finding your local primary schools: schoolsfinder.direct.gov.uk/

Useful website that takes you through the process step by step and gives links to other websites for info: www.gov.uk/schools-admissions/applying

Mumsnet.com guide to applying to primary schools: www.mumsnet.com/education/primary/how-to-apply

I think the best way to find out about schools is to go and visit them. Some hold open days local.mumsnet.com/exeter/school-nursery-open-days
But others will arrange a visit for you if you call them up. This section might prove useful: local.mumsnet.com/exeter/primary-schools
