It would be great to have any advice on how to find a good child-minder. I think I may find I can't afford a nursery, but don't really know where to start in finding and assessing child-minders. I'm also not quite sure how early you need to do this. (I'm on a nursery waiting list a year before I need childcare - but is such advanced planning necessary for child-minders?)
So any thoughts on how to find good child-minders - and the kinds of thing I need to be considering when choosing between them - would be fantastic.
And if you have specific recommendations, even better! I'm in Southfields, but could consider Putney (near Putney BR or East Putney tube) or potentially Wimbledon.
