DS has this 6th form in mind; I doubt it will suit him but that's by the by.
Prospectus irritated me is because the whole ethos is about choosing only high achievers.
They seem to require students to do extra-currics.
The prospectus says in on place that they are dropping all AS's, but then the actual curriculum for individual subjects still do AS's (editing problem??). Anyway, they are only interested in kids who will go to "top" Universities.
All their boastful statements are about acceptance rates to RG Unis (I have heard about this before, they openly snub links with UEA because it's not RG).
Perpetuates the "facilitating subjects" myth.
Led by Inspiration Trust which has a damning reputation locally.
DS is a flake & might not make it to A2, I'd rather he at least got some AS's. Definitely not the school for him!! DD is a high achiever and I wouldn't want her here, either. Not a school for the rounded individual.
