Childcare in South Sutton

Hello

I'm in a panic! We have put an offer in on a lovely house on Egmont Road in South Sutton. I have 20 month old twins. I am looking for childcare for them for 3 days a week - ideally Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday which should start by the end of the year. I will be commuting into town, so really need somewhere which can take them from 7.30am until 6pm.

I've phoned round a few nurseries, but most seem to be either full or quite far away. I'm keen to send them either to a nursery or a childminder with more children there as I'd like them to mix with other children. There seems to be a real lack of childcare off the Brighton Road between Sutton and Belmont. I'm hoping there's a hidden gem someone can tell me about?

Any advice or help would be gratefully received!

I'm sorry I don't have any ideas. Would a nursery on the way to work rather than round here bridge the gap?

Dear Sutton Mum's,

Looking for a child minder to pick up from Dorchester Primary School, Worcester Park.

We moved to Sutton in Aug and my daughter was offered a place at Dorchester this week. Unable to find a childminder who has a vacancy and could possibly pick up from the school Mon- Fri. After school club does not have a vacancy either. I have already contacted the Family information services but no luck.

Any suggestions or advice will be much appreciated.

We live near you and used to drive to Carshalton, put them in nursery and jump on the train (my husband starts at 9.30am and I worked 8-4pm to pick them up and then drive home). Not ideal, but had same issues as you. Am glad not have to do it now!
