Hello and welcome itsjenis2. We do have a Meet Up section but we haven't organised any over the summer holidays.

Do any other mums want to meet in a park or cafe somewhere this September? Post on the thread below if you're interested! Cake

michos123 · 27/08/2015 16:44

Hey yes I would be interested in a meet up :-) I am a new mom and my boy Billy is only 3 weeks old.

LittleZeusy · 01/09/2015 19:38

Hi

I moved to Sutton Coldfield from London on 28 August. I'd love to join any meetups. I'd also be happy to host small meetups at some point.

My ds is 8.5mths old. Hubby is a paediatrician and I run a small online business.

Info on local playgroups would also be great. Can't find anything online.

Thanks
Heather

Does anyone want to suggest a cafe, playgroup or somewhere to meet up in? I've hosted a few of these in the past, but am unable to do so at present (have another job and three older children so it's become a bit difficult!).

The mac cafe at Cannon Hill Park (Edgbaston) is good; or if you're based in Sutton Coldfield LittleZeusy, how about Blackroot Cafe in the park?

MNBirminghamLocalEd · 04/09/2015 23:01

Oh, and check out our listings for playgroups:

local.mumsnet.com/birmingham-sutton-coldfield/baby-toddler-groups

There are quite a few local to you, LittleZeusy. Hope this helps.

LittleZeusy · 05/09/2015 20:02

Thanks for the list, it's great.

I'm in Sutton Coldfield (walmley) so local groups in and around here are best for the next couple of months as I'm yet to get a car. After that I'll be more mobile.

Thanks
Heather

Hi all,
I moved up recently from London with my 2 year old. We go to a few local playgroups and he's starting nursery soon but would love to meet other mums for playdates. Were based in the Quinton area. xx

MartinaEnwood · 06/09/2015 10:22

We went to Cannon hill park and the wildlife centre yesterday, and i must say it was a day well spent. Prices were very reasonable and it was lots of fun for me and the kid! x

BillyBollyBrum · 04/10/2015 19:09

Hey LittleZeusy

There is a class I go to in Walmley on a Monday at 10.15, music class suitable from birth. The link is www.kiddibops.co.uk if you want to have a look?

Hope you're settling in well. Walmley is a great area to live :) x

LittleZeusy · 05/10/2015 21:04

Thanks @BillyBollyBrum - I work from home on Monday mornings. In the first couple of weeks I went to local churches and children centres and found activities that were going on.

We have joined:
Tiny Talk Baby Signing
Waterbabies
Jo Jingles
Rhythm & Rhyme
Splish Splash Splosh

There is actually a fare amount going on around here.

Maybe I'll see some of you at playgroups.

Hugs
Heather

BillyBollyBrum · 05/10/2015 22:47

Do you do Tiny Talk with Lisa? She's ace. Glad it's all going well xx

LittleZeusy · 06/10/2015 08:53

Yes, we're doing Tiny Talk on Tuesdays at Holland House and my husband does it on Fridays at Four Oaks Methodist church. She's brilliant :)

Jo Jingles at St John's Church (4 Walmley Road) on Wednesdays is also very good. I'm loving the area too bar a bus driver driving me to tears in week one, everyone has been great!

:) xx

MNBirminghamLocalEd · 06/10/2015 21:52

Wow, LittleZeusy, that is a long list of activities you've signed up to Grin. Glad the listings helped - have fun!

BillyBollyBrum · 06/10/2015 22:47

With the exception of Tiny Talk I prefer the independent groups rather than the franchises - just a matter of taste of course :)

There is a great playgroup Tues/Fri at St Johns church hall (not the church) and Sue who runs it is wonderful. Although you seem to have your week planned!

Ignore the grumpy bus driver :)

LittleZeusy · 06/10/2015 23:11

I like the independent groups when there is a leader and some kind of a structure because it helps to break the ice between mums. I'll look out for that Tuesday/Friday group, thanks! :) x
