Hi
My partner and I have just had an offer accepted on a lovely Edwardian house in Edenbridge, so it looks like we may soon be making the move (with our one year old) from a teeny place in Camberwell to a big old place in Kent. A little scary, but most exciting!
It's a bit of a longshot me posting here, but I wondered if anyone might be able to help with some quite specific information... You see, the day that our offer was accepted he house next door to the one we wanted also went up for sale, so I just want to try to find out and confirm that nothing is planned in the area that has made them both want to sell! Obviously it could be totally innocent, but I thought it sensible to try to find out.
Both houses are quite near a set of traffic lights where the road intersects with the B2026 and that concerned us a little when we viewed, as it makes access slightly more challenging, so I guess specifically I want to find out if anything is planned to happen, like sticking a great big roundabout in there or widening the road or anything that could potentially increase traffic in the area, and also any building planned that would affect these houses.
I've checked online at the Sevenoaks planning portal and have tried getting info out of Kent highways, but they weren't that forthcoming and also time is of the essence here (we are first time buyers and the house is chain free) so I can't really wait on them getting back to me whenever ther decide to bother! If anyone had any info that could help, I would be very grateful!
The houses are at the start of Stangrove Road where it intersects the B2026, right by he lights. Does anyone happen to know anything?
