single and pregnant looking for some company

Hi,
I'm 29 and 26 weeks pregnant and recently became single, I also have an 11 year old. I have some lovely friends however they all have partners and their own families and are hardly free on evenings, a time when i feel incredibly lonely and upset. I live in south hetton. Wondered if their is anyone who is up for striking up a friendship? X

are you a member of mums in Durham on Facebook? a lot of people on there socialise so might be worth a shot. I'd love to say I'll be your friend but I'm very busy at uni at the moment and don't even manage to see the friends I've got so i reckon I'd be a disappointment . you are more than welcome to join us on our next meet up though.

ha, student midwife here, i feel your pain. don't worry about taking time out, plenty do. we've had 3 pregnancies out of my cohort of 20, one took 6 months, one a full year, both happily back. one still on mat leave. which uni are you at? are they being supportive?

I'm at teesside. Yeah I basically could choose Jan or sept cohort (I'm 1409) but as I'm due in Nov I have little choice than to choose a full year as the alternative is two months...even though I would happily bring baby in my satchel! I feel at a loss already! I will defo be back though, just need something to keep me busy!

yeah 2 months would be tough! don't sweat it, the year out will fly by and you can always stay on top of your reading if you feel like you need something more than a baby to keep you busy . At the end of the day nobody is going to care if you graduated in 2018 or 2017.
