Cambridge to Stamford

Hello - We are looking to move to Stamford shortly as relocating for work to UO Lincoln. Can anyone advise me on the commute time by car/train to Cambridge. I thought it was 40mins from Stamford to Camb by train but the train times now tell me its over 1hr.......Any help would be most appreciated. Thank you :-)

Its about an hours drive - but might be more a peak time and depends where in Cambridge
Train seems to be 1 hour 10 mins 1 year season ticket about £4,000

I was born in Stamford, and my mum still lives there :)
