Moving to Nottinghamshire

Hi, I hope that someone can help me. We are planning on moving to the Nottingham area as soon as our house sells here in Scotland. Could anyone advise me of nice places to live and places to avoid? We have been looking at Long Eaton, Beeston and Arnold. Thanks in advance.

Long eaton is nice enough, but as ever there are areas to avoid. I'm not overly familiar with the area but a family member used to live there and they were very happy.

Thanks for your reply. We are still looking at Long Eaton and perhaps Chilwell.

All of those areas are fairly decent, though some houses may be listed as Arnold but are actually bestwood so check the area on a map is my advice. Chilwell is also quite nice.
