Doctor Surgery N5

Can anyone recommend a doctor's surgery in the area that is good for babies?. This morning I tried to make a appointment at my surgery for my 5 month old and was told, if I wanted to see the gp that actually has any proper experience with babies, I couldn't get an appointment until after 7 August. If I wanted any kind of appointment with a doctor within a week my only option was a drop in with a locum and she had no idea if the locum had ever seen a baby before. My local surgery has a lot of junior doctors who are very nice, but I can research on the internet just as well as they can so I don't take a lot of comfort from seeing them.

Hi Lola13,

This is a handy site for seeing all your local NHS services. Here's the link for GPs in N5.

Its good for seeing which surgeries are performing the best, before you call and ask about paediatricians.

If you can go private, then many north London families register at the Portland.

hope this helps.

I know a few people who use The Miller Practice in N5 and they all seem v happy. Not sure about babies, but I think all surgeries have a Pediatrician.
