carboot / 2nd hand furniture

hi all, i'm brand new to the area and don't know my way around at all, however with an entire house to furnish i went to the usual gumtree/ebay/preloved/freecycle but it's really got very little around telford (compared to what i've found when living elsewhere).

Can anyone point me to the big car boots that might do furniture and household things, or if there's a regional secret, another website or place i should be looking?

Might be a bit late now, new to this mumsnet site, but have you discovered Chirk Car Boot yet? Just off the A5 road after you've gone over the two high river bridges (McDonald's roundabout at Chirk). It's usually very huge and the largest in North Wales apparently.

You've probably got your house sorted out now, but just saying, because a lot of people don't know it's there.
