If you are from the Southwest of England and your family has experienced a fire in your home in the past 2 years please read on!
We are researchers from the University of the West of England (Bristol) working with the Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.
We know very little about how children and young people (under 16) react and what they do when there is a fire in their home. So we want to hear stories from families to help us find out what happens when children and young people find themselves in a fire at home.
We hope the information that we discover will give the fire and rescue services a greater understanding about where children and young people might be, or what they might do, if they are in a fire. This could help them if they have to search a burning building. Also, the information will help the Fire and Rescue service with their fire safety work in schools and colleges.
If you would like to find out more about the project, without any obligation to take part, please call 0117 331 4085, or email [email protected] or [email protected], leaving your contact details and one of us will respond.
Thanks
Julie
