Hi everyone,
We're possibly sending our 8mth old here as all other nurseries are full and it's v convenient, but the reviews I've found online are a tad negative but from years ago!!

Anyone got any recent feedback or advice on the place. Had a look round and it does look good but thought baby room staff looked abit lazy/bored... Could have completely misjudged them so apologies!

Help?!!!!!! Thanks x

My daughter has just started and loves it. It was also recommended to me by another mum. I think the bad reviews predate the change in management. I cannot comment on baby room as DD is in 2+ but I find the staff brilliant and very engaged. I also thought the baby room and set up compared well to other nurseries I have seen - but these were all in London when I was first going back to work, not Hitchin.

Hi teelabrown, oh thanks that's a relief!!
The manager and lady that showed my round just didn't seem very warm? Might just be sensitive at the mo as so close to going back to work lol!!

You're looking for an 8 month old who hasn't been to childcare before so that's a very different experience! This is my daughter's first experience of nursery as she went to a childminder before. Don't know who showed you round, do you want to PM me? I also did pick up the number of a recommended childminder in case I didn't get a nursery space and you're interested in that.

Pm'd you :)

We've just made the decision to send DD(3) there, as we didn't feel being with a CM was working out any more. I'd heard a lot of mixed reviews about it but mostly that's an old rep from the previous management. When we looked around and we were really impressed and they are making huge efforts to overthrow that old reputation.

Having said that, there are a lot of very good childminders in Hitchin too and can also give a few recommendations if you're interested. DD was with a CM from that age and I personally felt more comfortable with that for a young baby.
