opinion part time nursery needed

My son will start nursery this September (he will be 10 months). I will return to work 4 days. I am not sure if it is better for him to be with me on Wednesday or Friday. Friday would mean that we would have a long weekend together and that it might be easier for him to get used to a routine. Wednesday has the advantage of only spending short blocks of 2 days at nursery and maybe being less tired. The thought of leaving him only 2 days at a time is also easier for me.
What is your opinion? Any experience/ advice would be very much appreciated.

I used to see children crying at nursery because it was apparently a 'Monday morning'. The children were obviously aware of the long stretch ahead without their parents. I personally would opt for the break on Wednesday. Also, you may miss your child for 4 long days in a row without him.

I have Fridays off, it was easier for me work wise and found that I relaxed more knowing that I didn't have to go back to work until Monday. It also helped for long wkends away as I didn't have to take Fridays off as annual leave.

I'm sure whatever you chose will be right for you.

I work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays and LOVE having a day off in the middle. I could've chose any 3 dates but am so glad I chose these. We both really enjoy having a 'day off' from nursery and work and then only one more day until the weekend. I do have Mondays off too though so I always get a long weekend. Fridays are a nicer day to work (IMO) also as generally people are in a better mood and the atmosphere is nicer. Good luck with your decision :-)
