Hello,
My daughter will start school this coming September.
Would you please let me know if the school will apply for this funding on our behalf?
Or will I have to submit any forms as well?
Thanks!
B.

Hi bethpearson

Are you talking about 'early education' in a nursery setting at school? So from first term after your DD's third birthday?

LocalEditorMerton · 14/05/2015 17:00

The Merton Council website information here may help you too.

bethpearson · 14/05/2015 19:02

Yes, my daughter is 4, I believe she will be entitled until her 5th birthday.
I have visited the Merton website but I didn't understand if parents have to submit a form, as it mentions a deadline of May 22nd/26th.
I believe this deadline is for schools and my school hasn't asked us to send them any supporting forms.
Thanks
B.

If your daughter is four, will she be starting in Reception in September?

bethpearson · 15/05/2015 10:54

Yes, Reception.

Hi Bethpearson, I did email the Early Years part of Education Department at Merton Council to answer this question, but no response as yet. Perhaps they would respond to a query directly from you:

[email protected]

Or phone the school your DD will be attending and ask them directly - they will know.
