Which estate agent to sell with? Please help Urgent!

We have had 4 agents out Deans, Mov8, Warners and Blair Cadell and are not satisfied with any one of them for one reason or another either due to inconsistencies broken promises and time keeping already or to low/high valuations. We just want an honest agent who will get the job done and give us the highest realistic valuation for our property.

Can anyone please recomend a good honest hard working fair agent? Alot to ask I know surely they exist?

Lindsays is good.

I'd recommend my husband's firm but that's probably frowned upon.

Thanks GrouchyKiwi. Out of interest if you dont mind who is your husbands firm? Lindsays seem good from conversations iv had with them they just didnt stand out and havent really sold much in my area that I have seen. Am I over thinking this are all agents really the same and will offer the same level of service?

I think Lindsays is one of the better firms. They treat each client individually where others use set forms etc.

We sold our flat to our builder (part exchange) and they used Lindsays for estate agency. I found them really easy to deal with, and they were fast. We got photos and wording for our brochure signed off on the Friday and had schedules arrive in the post on Saturday for Sunday viewings. It took less than 2 weeks for our flat to sell. Lindsays had loads of contact with us, made sure we were happy with everything and did a beautiful job of advertising. I'd use them for our own sales in future.

I definitely wouldn't use Mov8.

We used Leslie Deans when we moved. Round here Neilsons are often the popular one.

VMH - Valente McCombie & Hunter. They managed our last house sale and were excellent.

Also recommend Broughton removals when the time comes. Used them twice now.

I have to admit our experiences of lindsay weren't great. We've used them once to try and sell -bloody useless, did nothing to generate interest,didn't follow up viewings...and once for a purchase where they were just painfully slow in what was a very straightforward transaction-they were the seller's solicitors but the seller was family so we were close to it

We used McQueen legal and they were very efficient. Also as we were selling in bruntsfield where they have an office felt that helped as many people looking for a property in area look in their window!
