Nanny cost

I'm going back to work full-time later this year and trying to work out whether we can afford a nanny as it would make life very much easier for us.

I don't know anyone who employs a nanny here and am a bit confused about the rates that you see on childcare.co.uk etc. ideally I would like someone with some childcare qualifications and experience. It would be live-out for 50 hours a week 8am to 6pm.

Can anyone suggest what the range of gross salaries would be please?

Thanks

We pay our nanny £12 ph gross which was at the top end of our budget. We were recommended to offer between £9 and £12 ph by an agency.
