Hi I am a new first time mum. I am looking to chat and meet up with other mums in the local area. I live near Bromley. I don't know anyone with babies and would love to chat with other mums.

Hi Kazza my DD is ten now, I work full time and I am a little way from you being in Petts Wood but wanted to reply. I hope others with more helpful advice can comment. Lots of churches run baby and toddler groups for you to have exactly this sort of opportunity. The local libraries also do 'bounce and rhyme'. I believe Bromley Council keep a list of the parent baby groups. A lot may have waiting lists but either speak in person to the organiser (often a volunteer) and see if there is any possibility to turn up just the once whilst waiting for a regular slot as you are feeling isolated and they might be able to do something. Good luck

Thanks very much for your reply. I will have a look and see what baby groups they have on around Bromley.

Hi Kazza14, welcome to our community! May I ask which area (near Bromley) you are in? I will share your thread on social media and see what if people have any recommendations for you.

Try the NCT run Bumps, Babies and Little Bees sessions on Tuesday mornings 10am to 12noon at the United Reformed Church on Widmore Road (by Boots). You don't have to be a member and can just drop in but it is £2.50 a session I think.

I don't have a baby now but I remember a lot of people used to go there (I did the Early Day sessions instead at the same place when DD was new and met lots of people that way, but I am not sure whether they are still going).

Lots of people also met at Gymboree which is also next door to there but might be a bit more pricey.

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to arrange a meet-up session in Bromley for mums local to the area. Would you be interested in a get-together?

Look forward to hearing from you.
