Swimming lessons - west/central

Has anyone got any recommendations for swimming lessons in the West End, or easy drive of WE?

Ds1 (8) did a couple of blocks at Scotstoun two years ago before having to stop because of an operation. I really want him to crack it this summer, but I wasn't all that impressed with the council set up - seemed to be as more waiting around than swimming.

Has anyone used Making Waves? If so, do you know roughly how much a block is?

HI, both my kids go to Making Waves classes at Cleveden. Daughter has been through all 4 levels and has now been in the Club for a couple of years. Son has been going for last couple of years. I really rate their methods - staff in pool with the kids for levels 1 and 2. Both my kids are great, confident swimmers and love swimming. If you go onto website it will give prices. Think it is about £8 per class (though best to check) and blocks vary from 7-9 weeks usually depending on term times. They also do intensive week courses during some of holidays.

Thanks - will give them a phone Smile

Just want to update.

Ds1 has had 2 lessons now with Making Waves and I'm really impressed. They're very hands on, give plenty of feedback, both to child and parent, and he's making solid progress even in that short space of time.

Lessons work out at £9 per class.
