West Bridgford vs Mapperly Park

Hi - looking to relocate to Notts and am liking the look of WB and Mapperley. Am after somewhere with nice shops and a cafe culture feel. Also looking for an area in which you feel safe. Any thoughts as to which area people thing would suit the bill would be appreciated. Thanks Claire

I like both! I live in Lambley and spend a lot of time in Mapperley. WB is a lot busier but again, still really nice. I go to WB a lot, mainly to Asda for my food shop ;) but if I were to live in one or the other, I'd say Mapperley. x

Hi Mrs Hipps, thanks for your message. Can I ask why you prefer Mapperley, houses, amenities etc ? I had heard it was a little less desirable in terms of a red light district, higher crime etc which has put me off a little. However, you get a lot more for your money :-). I really would like somewhere so that on a saturday we can have a mooch out for a walk and a coffee, maybe pop to the shops without having to get in the car - I guess for us amenities are quite important. I wasn't sure what Mapp had in the way of nice bars/cafes etc xx
