Mums between the commons?

Hi there. We have moved to the area from central London and are looking to meet up with other local mums for coffee/playground chats/socialising. My son is 3 years old and loves swings (who doesn't?) and I love tea. It would be great to hear if there are any local meet ups due or if there are any mums who are willing to meet up with a newby and show me the ropes/great tea spots! Thanks!

Hi there. Hopefully some mums near you will reply soon.

In the meantime, there are some good classes and cafes near you which you could try to meet people. Skylark on Wandsworth Common is popular with mums - there's a playground next to it and there are preschool music/dance/drama classes most days too - either in the café or on the common just in front of it.

Here are links to a couple from our listings which were tried and approved by my own kids when they were a similar age to your son:

Open Air Fit Toddler Fun
Amanda's Action Club

There are also lots of preschool groups and classes at Broomwood Methodist Hall on Kyrle Road e.g. Tumble Tots...

Northcote Library has lots on too including weekly storytimes.

It's such a family focused area that we are spoilt for choice and you can hardly move without running into other mums!

P.S - we are working on a meet up for next month so will keep you posted on that too!
